Hispanic Cultural Center Offers Healing and Ritual Class

The Hispanic Cultural Center now offers short courses (cursillos) on a variety of subjects.

Dr. Eliseo Torres presents "Healing with Herbs and Rituals: A Mexican Tradition" on Saturday, February 3, 2007 from 9 am-noon at the Center's Wells Fargo Auditorium. The cost of this short course is $20. which is due at registration. Deadline for any registration is 15 days before the cursillo. Enrollment is limited to 15. Phone 246-2261 ext. 148 for particulars.

Torres, now Vice President of Student Affairs and on the faculty of UNM's College of Education, lived on the border of Mexico and TX. He grew up in a family steeped in herbal lore and healing. He has increased his knowledge through the years and maintains his respect for the history and practices of the ancient art of curanderismo. He has published three books on this subject.
